J T Brisebois has a Fine Arts Degree from The Art Institute of Chicago, with art work in the museum’s video archives. She designed the theatrical set and accompanying public art installation for Mo’olelo Performing Arts Company’s critically acclaimed production, “Adoption Project: Triad, ” at The Centro Cultural de la Raza.
Recently in Vienna, she had a solo show at Projektwerkstatt-SOHO. The work featured paintings documenting Austria’s Spring Music Festival, and will be shown again at Dschungel in Vienna’s Museum Quarter and at Hauptbibliothek.
Her public art, includes Adam’s Avenue Banner Paintings with The San Diego Commission for Arts and Culture. She did installation art with Judit Hersko at the Hungary pavilion in the 1997 Venice Biennale, Italy.
Her work as an artist/educator was featured in “Personal Visions,” at The Museum of Photographic Arts in San Diego. She is nationally published in the text books, “Art: A Community Connection” and “Theatre; Art In Action. ”
